There’s a divide in the San Jose Sharks locker room.

“We had 11 games to figure that out again this year, which is more than they had last year. And that’s what they come up with?” Kappo Kahkonen asked.

Kahkonen, of course, is talking about the Sharks’ win song, played in the locker room after the game for the first time. The San Jose Sharks snapped an 11-game losing streak with a 2-1 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday night.

A true leader, alternate captain Mario Ferraro took responsibility for the song, saying it was a group decision with Luke Kunin and Anthony Duclair.

“They got to take responsibility and ownership,” Nico Sturm said, agreeing with his goalie. “They definitely messed up the first one. Was not feeling the vibes.”

There’s some debate about whether Mackenzie Blackwood was feeling the vibes.

Blackwood says he was not.

“I beg to differ,” Ferraro laughed. “I saw Blacky dancing away.”

So what is the San Jose Sharks’ win song, anyway?

Nikolai Knyzhov offered a parental advisory sticker: “Don’t play it for your kids.”

“It was like a rap song, but it wasn’t like a rap,” Kahkonen said. “It was just weird. It was weird. Weird noises.”

“SkeeYee. That’s when like, you see a cute girl or somebody with a big booty, or you’re tryin’ to holler at somebody,” St. Louis rapper Sexyy Red told Montreality. “They call that the geek call. A geek is a crackhead, a dope fiend.”

I’ve also learned that I’m Team Mario.

I hadn’t heard “SkeeYee” before today, and I’ve bumped it four times in the last hour!
