The San Jose Sharks head to T-Mobile Arena to take on the Vegas Golden Knights.

The Sharks, however, had nothing, and the Golden Knights shut them out 5-0, snapping their two-game winning streak.

Period 1

Broadcast confirms that Duclair is sick. San Jose Sharks will miss him tonight.

Pietrangelo goal: Ugh. Maybe just Zadina running into Kahkonen. I think Zadina also loses a step on Pietrangelo as the late man, Amadio holds and hits Pietrangelo. Zadina appears to be more aware of the puck and not Pietrangelo.

5 in: Hedican is right, Vlasic just rims it to who? Vegas forecheck was there, but you hope for more than just giving it up.

Looks like Zetterlund slides in for Duclair on power play.

Martinez goal: This just appears to find a hole.

6 left: Fourth line struggling. A couple bad Smith turnovers. Sharks just getting rinsed right now.

4 left: Hertl post, then decks Cotter. Like. Zetterlund can’t go offside there on re-entry. Offense so scarce for Sharks so far tonight, that was a 2-on-1.

2 left: Nice work by Addison, coping with a lot of errant passes from his teammates. Doesn’t lose his cool, especially quiet backhand with Eichel on forecheck.

1 left: Daring between-the-legs behind-the-back pass from Eklund to Hertl. Doesn’t work, you might get chewed out for not shooting, but instead, deception, Hertl chance. They’re coming on late in the period. Sharks slowly putting together better shifts, I think, but a 2-0 for this group is tough to surmount.

For all the shot volume, Golden Knights just up 2-1 High-Danger at even strength, per SPORTLOGiQ. San Jose Sharks doing a fair job keeping Vegas from the middle.

Period 2

1 in: Another Addison shot. He’s been solid tonight.

4 in: Whoops, Addison turnover there.

5 in: Eichel just toying with the Sharks. Might be a while before San Jose has a force that dominant.

10 in: Another Smith turnover. His puck management has been unremarkable tonight.

9 in: Nice work by Rutta to win puck on backcheck, then Eklund sets up back-to-back chances for Hertl then Rutta. Eklund has once again stood out.

7 left: Oh man. What a pass by Granlund.  Kunin can’t bury another. Quinn said Kunin’s last gme was his best of the year, but that he’s got another level.

5 left: Game opens up, Sharks pushing, but then slot opens up for Kolesar, big glove save by Kahkonen. Ferraro quick to come over for an atta boy.

Period 3

San Jose Sharks start period with a shooting attitude. I bet that was emphasized between periods.

Karlsson goal: That might do it. Sharks had guys back, but Eichel just sons Addison. That turns it into a 2-on-1.

Martinez goal: Here comes the collapse. I think Kunin, who was on the wall, needs to get out harder, switch with Lindblom. Ends up with Ferraro and Kunin on one Knight along the wall, Pietrangelo finds the wide open man.

Howden goal: Granlund turnover, he’s had a rough game.
