SJHN Daily: Marleau in Disguise, Dell Joins Jumbo’s Team, Sturm Has Procedure

Nico Sturm confirmed that he has a hand injury.

We could’ve guessed that, based on this clip and his subsequent appearances at San Jose Sharks practices in full gear, but without a stick. Sturm hasn’t played since Dec. 12.

But the centerman added to that, telling the Mercury News yesterday that he had a procedure inside that injured right hand. Sturm, apparently, has been dealing with this injury for a year.

“It was just at the point where there was so much inflammation in there,” Sturm said.

There’s no timeline for his return, though head coach David Quinn termed it more week-to-week instead of day-to-day or month-to-month.
