Published

on

The World Junior Summer Showcase (WJSS) and Hlinka Gretzky Cup finished last week, and the San Jose Sharks had seven participants in the WJSS. Steven Ellis of Daily Faceoff joins to discuss how the Sharks players performed. Steven starts with the Sharks’ fourth overall pick Will Smith and why Smith was one of the best American players on the ice. We examine why he thinks Smith will be one and done at Boston College. We also review Filip Bystedt’s showcase and why the Sharks could be set up down the middle for years to come. Next, we analyze the rest of the Sharks prospects who participated, including Mattias Hävelid and Quentin Musty, and Kasper Halttunen, plus how Eric Polkhamp really made a push to make the USA team this winter (12:00). Finally, Steven reports on some of the 2024 draft-eligible prospects at the Hlinka Gretzky Cup and some names to watch this season (20:00).
