SJHN Daily: Wiesblatt Suspended for 3 Games, Why Thrun Was Scratched?
Ozzy Wiesblatt has been suspended for three games.
Yesterday, in the San Jose Barracuda’s season opener, he took a run at the Rockford IceHogs’ Kale Howarth. Howarth was not near the puck.

Wiesblatt received a tripping call and a match penalty. The AHL added a three-game suspension on top of that for interference.
The Barracuda would drop their season opener 7-2. The San Jose Sharks’ 2020 first-round pick missed this afternoon’s game, when the Cuda returned the favor with a 7-2 victory over the IceHogs. Howarth did not play after suffering an upper-body injury.
Wiesblatt will also miss next weekend’s two-game road trip against the Henderson Silver Knights.
