SJHN Daily: Donskoi Battling Severe Concussion Symptoms
Joonas Donskoi has not skated in a regular season game so far this season due to persistent concussion issues, according to Toni Länkinen of Raahen Seutu.
On Sept. 29, Donskoi suffered his seventh concussion during the Seattle Kraken’s preseason matchup against the Vancouver Canucks. Unfortunately, this concussion has caused ongoing headaches, vertigo, and vision problems that have kept him off the ice the last four months.
Donskoi tells he had his 7th concussion at the start of this season and that he still hasn't been able to practice because of the persistent symptoms. Has had vision problems, vertigo and headaches. #SeaKraken #HockeyTwitter https://t.co/9yPs77rRnM

Donskoi is a San Jose Sharks fan favorite, who skated in teal from 2015 to 2019. San Jose signed him out of Finland as a free agent. The winger is probably best-remembered by Sharks fans for his game-winning OT goal in Game Three of the 2016 Stanley Cup Final.
Donskoi was signed to a four-year contract by the Colorado Avalanche in the summer of 2019, and was selected by the Kraken in the Expansion Draft in 2021. He is set to become an unrestricted free agent at the end of this season.
