Why’s It Hard To Figure Out Potential Return in Karlsson Trade?

It appears that an Erik Karlsson trade will be happening this off-season. I start by examining why it makes sense for the San Jose Sharks to trade the next Norris Trophy winner and a timeline for a potential deal. Next, why it’s nearly impossible to figure out a return since it is such a complicated deal, and which teams could be in play for Karlsson (11:00). Finally, with the buyout window now open, why doesn’t it make sense for Mike Grier to buy anyone out this year when the San Jose Sharks are close to cleaning up many of their cap issues (22:00).
