Logan Couture is back.

Talking to the media, that is. For the first time since September, the opening day of training camp, we talked to the San Jose Sharks captain, who’s been hampered by a persistent lower-body injury for the last three-to-four months.

Couture Talks Injury: ‘When you’re injured, your mind does some crazy things’

Couture declined to specify the injury, but he did share the dark place that the injury put him in mentally.

He described his timeline to get back to skating, and why he’s more optimistic this time around that he’s on the way back to playing.

Couture also discussed the San Jose Sharks’ disastrous start, how they got out of it, and how players like Tomas Hertl, Mikael Granlund, Fabian Zetterlund, and Mario Ferraro have impressed him this season.
