A third period push by the Barracuda led to a 4-2 win Wednesday night, marking San Jose’s (8-7-4-2) first win against the league-leading Henderson (18-5-0-0) this season.
Lean Bergmann missed just his second Barracuda game this season, serving an automatic one-game suspension after receiving an instigator penalty in the final five minutes of the third period in Tuesday’s loss.
Goaltender Josef Kořenář (5-1-2) made 20 saves, as the Barracuda outshot the Silver Knights 42-22. Henderson opened the scoring seven minutes into the first period and added another goal midway through the second period.
Maxim Letunov chipped in a shot from down low for San Jose’s first goal in the final minute of the second period. Evan Weinger and Nicolas Meloche earned assists on the play.
