Sharks on How Vulgar Message to Golden Knights Got on Jumbotron
It’s real.
The San Jose Sharks confirmed to The Mercury News that a picture that’s been floating online today, purportedly a vulgar anti-Vegas Golden Knights message that flashed on the SAP Center center hung board last night in their loss to the Anaheim Ducks, is the genuine article.
“The message displayed on the center hung board at SAP Center on Tuesday was one of many which are submitted by guests, as is done on every game night. Unfortunately, the seemingly hidden nature of the message was not identified prior to being shown at the game,” a Sharks spokesperson said.

The first letter from each word of the 14-word message spells out, “FUCK THE KNIGHTS.”
It’s just another chapter in the heated San Jose Sharks-Vegas Golden Knights rivalry that began in earnest in 2018 when the Golden Knights beat the Sharks in the second round of the playoffs on their way to a Stanley Cup Final in their expansion season. The Sharks got their revenge the next season by coming back from a 3-1 series deficit and a 3-0 Game Seven deficit to topple the Knights in the first round of the 2019 playoffs.
Vegas has gotten the better of San Jose recently, winning 11 straight head-to-head match-ups from the 2019-20 season to this year – but the Sharks got the last laugh on Sunday with a 5-4 shootout victory on Sunday that was a crippling blow to the Golden Knights’ playoff chances.
And it looks like the San Jose Sharks, or at least their fans, have got the last laugh once again.
