Preview/Lines #26: Why Does Movember Mean So Much to Gadjovich?
TORONTO – It’s the last day of Movember, a cause that Jonah Gadjovich is particularly passionate about.
He’s so passionate, he’s got his own Movember page, where you can help the San Jose Sharks forward achieve his fundraising goal.
“I’ve just had family members affected by mental health, cancer, and stuff like that,” Gadjovich told San Jose Hockey Now in Montreal. “I think the main thing is just raising awareness and basically just letting your loved ones know that you love them and just trying to be there for everyone. That’s kind of the main message I get from Movember.”
Of course, there’s a fun side to Movember, the competition for best mustache. Gadjovich’s actually received high marks from San Jose Sharks captain Logan Couture recently.
Gadjovich had trouble naming his locker room favorite – he likes everybody’s – but he did have a special place in his heart for perhaps the most well-groomed Movember mustache of them all.
“I like [Erik Karlsson’s]. He’s got it tidied up,” Gadjovich said with a smile. “I’ve seen his in the past where he twirls it, it’s hilarious.”

Gadjovich says he had the flu, which is why he's been away from the team. It's his first day back on the ice, so he's not playing tonight
