BREAKING: Sharks Draft Gannon Laroque

Published

on

The San Jose Sharks have drafted Gannon Laroque.

Laroque is a 6-foot-2 defenseman who notched seven points in 21 games for the WHL’s Victoria Royals. He was also selected the team’s top defenseman in their post-season awards.

The San Jose Sharks selected Laroque with the 103rd pick in the fourth round.

“On the ice, Gannon is a competitive, tenacious, and hardworking defender, who already processes the game at a high level despite his relatively young age,” Victoria Royals assistant coach J.F. Best told PNW Hockey Talk.

The San Jose Sharks should make Laroque available to the media shortly.
