SJHN Daily: City of San Jose Declares Feb. 25 Patrick Marleau Day, Sharks Want Finnish D-Man Pulli?

San Jose Sharks legend Patrick Marleau will have his jersey retired on Feb. 25.

It also will be Patrick Marleau Day in the city of San Jose, San Jose mayor Matt Mahan proclaimed on Wednesday. As part of this celebration, Mahan also announced that on Feb. 23, he will host a celebration at City Hall at 1 PM to honor Mr. Shark’s 23-year career.

The special ceremony will include a flag raising and a press conference with Marleau, Mahan, and San Jose Sharks president Jonathan Becher.

As for Marleau’s jersey retirement on the 25th, the festivities will begin at 5:30 p.m. before the Sharks face off against the Chicago Blackhawks at 7 PM.
