Patrick Marleau had another jersey retirement tonight.

His No. 12 already hanging in the rafters of SAP Center, Marleau’s No. 12 went up at accesso ShoWare Center, home of the Seattle Thunderbirds.

Marleau scored 83 goals and 199 points in two seasons in Seattle, from 1995 t0 1997. The San Jose Sharks then selected the Aneroid, Saskatchewan native with the second-overall pick of the 1997 Draft.

The rest is history. Marleau is the NHL’s All-Time Games Played leader with 1,779 and scored 566 goals over a 23-year career. He retired after the 2020-21 campaign.

No. 10 Glen Goodall, who played for the T-Birds from 1986 to 1990, is the only player whose jersey is retired by Seattle.
