Ex-Sharks Director of Scouting Wilson Jr. Joins Seattle Kraken
To the surprise of likely very few, Doug Wilson Jr. has already found a role with a new NHL team after being let go by the San Jose Sharks just over a month ago.
Staying in the Pacific Division, Wilson Jr. was announced to be joining the Seattle Kraken on Thursday, as an amateur scout.

After spending six years at the helm of San Jose’s drafting, most recently as the Sharks director of scouting, Wilson Jr. has shown his ability to scout and has been the man behind recent Sharks picks such as William Eklund and Thomas Bordeleau, as well as Mario Ferraro, Josh Norris, and Ryan Merkley.
Sharks prospect Gannon Laroque has also mentioned that Wilson Jr. led the way in the pre-draft talks between the defenseman and the organization.
