“Can you believe it?”

“No,” an overwhelmed Adin Hill laughed, in response to Jackie Redmond’s question about winning the Stanley Cup.

There’s not a lot of San Jose Sharks fans who would’ve believed it either last summer, after the Sharks traded third-stringer Hill to the Vegas Golden Knights for a 2024 fourth-round pick.

And that’s where he started when the Golden Knights opened the first round against the Winnipeg Jets, behind starter Laurent Brossoit and back-up Jonathan Quick.

Hill took over for the injured Brossoit in Game Three of the second round, and didn’t look back, going 11-4. His .932 Save % is second only to Tim Thomas’s .933 for best Save % in playoff history.

Along the way, he also had his share of signature moments, like this Game Five save on Anthony Duclair – Ivan Barbashev’s reaction is priceless.

Or this Game Two stop, perhaps the highlight of the Final.

The 27-year-old UFA is now a hot commodity, changing the narrative of his career after a disappointing stint with the San Jose Sharks.

“We’ve had this chemistry in that locker room that is unmatched,” Hill said to NHL Network during the post-game celebration. “I’ve never been on a team like it.”

We’ll see where the Stanley Cup winner ends up.

The San Jose Sharks, UFA James Reimer likely on the way out, might need a goalie?
