Locked On Sharks

Which Sharks’ Situation Got Better or Worse This Off-Season?

Published

on

With free agency all but settled, which San Jose Sharks players are finding that their roles and situations have improved, and who is finding that they will have to fight for even the same role as last year? I start with how the additions of Anthony Duclair, Filip Zadina, and William Eklund becoming a full-time NHL’er, should make Logan Couture and Tomas Hertl’s lives easier this year. Next, how do those additions hurt Jacob Peterson and Fabian Zetterlund (11:00)? Next, how the additions and subtractions in the San Jose Sharks’ bottom-six might open a spot up for Thomas Bordeleau while also making things tougher on Oskar Lindblom (14:00). Kyle Burroughs’s addition will have four defensemen fighting for one spot (20:00), and Eetu Mäkiniemi has found a clear path to playing NHL games this season (24:00).
