The San Jose Sharks centers are firing on all cylinders.

On Friday, Mikael Granlund was named NHLPA Player of the Week from Dec. 1 to 7.

And today, Tomas Hertl was named one of the NHL’s Three Stars of the Week for Dec. 4 to 10. Hertl was Second Star behind Nikita Kucherov and ahead of Sam Reinhart.

Hertl was the league’s leading goalscorer last week with five goals, highlighted by a hat trick on Dec. 5 against the New York Islanders. He also added two goals, including the last-minute game-tying goal, against the Detroit Red Wings on Dec. 7. Then on Dec. 10, he recorded the primary assist on Mike Hoffman’s last-minute game-tying goal against the Vegas Golden Knights.

“This is the best that he’s played by a mile since I’ve been here,” San Jose Sharks head coach David Quinn said after the Wings game. “Just playing elite, elite hockey and being an elite leader.”
