Congrats, Danil Gushchin!

The AHL announced their All-Star teams for the 2024 AHL All-Star Classic in San Jose, and the top San Jose Sharks prospect was the Barracuda’s lone representative.

Gushchin is tied for seventh in the AHL with 29 points and tied for eighth with 12 goals.

Last year, Thomas Bordeleau was the Cuda’s lone rep.

It’s an exciting crop of prospects heading toward Tech CU Arena on Feb. 4 and 5, including Brandt Clarke, Dylan Guenther, Jesper Wallstedt, and more.

AROUND THE NHL…

The Philadelphia Flyers made a blockbuster trade on Monday night, sending prospect Cutter Gauthier to the Anaheim Ducks for Jamie Drysdale and a 2025 second-round pick.

The unsigned 2022 first-round pick was dealt after saying he had no interest in signing with the Philadelphia Flyers.

Per reports, the Montreal Canadiens turned down a deal to acquire Gauthier at the 2023 Draft in exchange for the No. 5 overall pick (that became David Reinbacher).

Former Flyers forward Kevin Hayes vehemently denied reports that he was responsible for Gauthier asking out of Philadelphia.

Pittsburgh Penguins fans have reasons to be optimistic, writes PHN’s Dan Kingerski.

Sergei Bobrovsky has been red hot for the Florida Panthers.

The injury bug is biting the New Jersey Devils hard.

William Nylander agreed to a big-money extension with the Toronto Maple Leafs on Monday.
