What I’m Hearing About Sharks Before 2021 NHL Draft | SJHN+

“He doesn’t get out of the top-five.”

That’s what one NHL scout told me about William Eklund.

Another scout added: “I’m told Eklund doesn’t make it past six.”

So where does that leave the San Jose Sharks with the seventh pick of the 2021 NHL Draft?

On the eve of the Draft, here’s what I’m hearing about the San Jose Sharks and the rest of the top-10.

In particular, one scout dishes on Eklund, why Mason McTavish is catapulting up the boards, Luke Hughes’s “character issues,” which surprise prospects might break into the top-10 and upturn everything, and the skaters likely to be available to the San Jose Sharks at No. 7.
