This day yesterday, the San Jose Sharks acquired Erik Karlsson.

The Dallas Stars were rumored to be a team that was in the Karlsson derby, but word is, they refused to give up then-prospect Miro Heiskanen for the two-time Norris Trophy winner.

That’s looking like a fantastic decision.

San Jose Hockey Now spoke with Rick Bowness, John Stevens, Jason Dickinson, and Esa Lindell about the incomparable Heiskanen, while breaking down his masterful Game Three performance.

That athletic read on the goodrow trade is great. We didn’t exactly get a firs rounder for him like many people thinks since we had to send back a pick but still good value even though we will miss him.
