SJHN Daily: Demers Thanks Sharks, Barracuda Eliminated
The San Jose Barracuda were eliminated from AHL playoff contention Saturday night.
With a 4-0 loss at the hands of the Colorado Eagles Saturday, the Cuda needed a Tucson Roadrunners regulation loss to stay in contention. The Roadrunners lost 5-4 in overtime to the Texas Stars, but hold the tiebreaker of regulation wins over San Jose.
Roadrunners down 4-0 late in the 2nd, but came back to get a point in OT off the Stars.
That point eliminates Barracuda from the playoffs, the Cuda are 4 points back of Tucson with 2 games vs. the Roadrunners left, but the first tiebreaker is regulation wins (TUC 25, SJB 21)
