BREAKING: Sharks Holding Kunin Out for Trade Purposes

DENVER — The San Jose Sharks are holding Luke Kunin out from the line-up for trade purposes.
Notably, line-up fixture Kunin did not participate in early line rushes in the Sharks’ morning skate on Thursday.
After morning skate, Kunin and San Jose Sharks head coach Ryan Warsofsky declined to confirm his status either way, in the lead-up to their Thursday night showdown against the Colorado Avalanche.
Later, Chris Johnston confirmed that Kunin is being held out.

There have been rumors swirling around the Toronto Maple Leafs and their interest in Luke Kunin. Is Kunin bound for the hockey capital of the world?
The Trade Deadline is Mar. 7 at 12 PM PT.
The San Jose Sharks acquired Kunin, 27, in a trade with the Nashville Predators in the summer of 2022, sending prospect John Leonard and a 2023 third-round pick to the Music City.
Kunin has proven to be a scrappy heart-and-soul forward for the San Jose Sharks, playing up and down the line-up.
The versatile center-winger was having his best season in teal this year, with 11 goals in 63 games.
A penalty-killing staple, he was also named alternate captain last season.
On a contender, Kunin is attractive as a set-it-and-forget-it bottom-six grinder.
So what are the San Jose Sharks getting back for Kunin?
San Jose Hockey Now speculated on that in our Trade Deadline preview last week.
