3/23 Sharks Practice Report: New Lines Tomorrow?

Despite the San Jose Sharks’ 2-1 victory last night over Los Angeles, it looks like there will be a line-up change tomorrow. Here’s how San Jose Hockey Now saw today’s lines:

Fredrik Handemark and Kurtis Gabriel were the extras up front, so it looks like Antti Suomela will center the San Jose Sharks’ fourth line tomorrow. We would expect Martin Jones to get the start tomorrow.

Matt Nieto did not participate in this practice.

We’ll talk to San Jose Sharks head coach Bob Boughner shortly.

timorous me

I didn’t think it was all that fair for Suomela to come out of the lineup for last night’s game (though I feel like I’ve had that though on at least a half dozen other occasions throughout his brief career), so it’s good to see him back in there. Hopefully.

It’s actually a little surprising that after the past couple seasons, he’s still grinding away with this organization that seems to consistently overlook his positive attributes, like they formed an opinion of him early on and never really reconsidered.

I hate the decision to go back to Jones. He needs more than one great game to earn that net back. Plenty of time to play him after the TDL
