SJHN Daily: Gregor Signs PTO With Maple Leafs

Noah Gregor has signed a PTO with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
The 25-year-old winger, who the San Jose Sharks declined to qualify last July, will look to break camp with the Stanley Cup contenders.
San Jose drafted Gregor in the fourth round in 2016. As recently as 2020-21, he was ranked by The Hockey News as the fifth-best Sharks prospect:
Gregor made his NHL debut in 2019-20, but over parts of four seasons, couldn’t establish himself as an NHL regular, alternating between flashing his breathtaking speed and frustrating with inconsistent production.
In 178 games with the San Jose Sharks, Gregor scored 26 goals and notched 25 assists. Last season, he scored a career-high 10 goals in 57 appearances.
Gregor joins other former Sharks on PTOs around the league. Aaron Dell and Nicolas Meloche signed with the Columbus Blue Jackets, Ryan Dzingel with the Arizona Coyotes, and Scott Harrington with the Anaheim Ducks.
The San Jose Sharks have yet to announce if they’ve signed any players to a PTO.
