In other San Jose Sharks news…
Here’s a run-down of everything that happened yesterday!
The Lake Tahoe NHL games are happening…but without the San Jose Sharks. (NHL)
The Sharks, however, might get involved in their own way:
Bettman said @SanJoseSharks have asked about playing their own game in Lake Tahoe for "local television" after being left out of the Tahoe games this season on national TV.

The Sharks may, however, have more important things on their mind:

And oh, did you know the Sharks are opening their season on Thursday night?
That means they have to cut down their roster, which started this morning: They waived Trevor Carrick, Antti Suomela, Kurtis Gabriel, Fredrik Claesson, Nick DeSimone, and Nicholas Meloche.
Later, they sent down a bunch of youngsters, leaving a few intriguing names around:
Other intriguing names that haven't been sent down yet, besides Chmelevski? Viel, who's made a good account for himself in camp. Also veteran Handemark and Letunov (who I assume is still "unfit to play")

Then, the San Jose Barracuda chimed in, announcing their pre-season schedule and training camp roster:
#SJBarracuda announce that they will be holding camp at the Ice Den in Chandler, Arizona. They will play seven preseason games, all away from San Jose. Here's their camp roster https://t.co/bPr6dUVCoL pic.twitter.com/2HTYAmLFU5

Interesting names on Barracuda camp roster: Wiesblatt still there, Kotkov (who never made it to CAN for Q season as intended), Hamaliuk is coming, Robins wearing No. 91. Also, Harvey played for SJS goalie development coach Dany Sabourin in Rouyn-Noranda — where Emond plays too pic.twitter.com/RrfnmUgQk5
