DENVER — Mike Grier can’t stop, won’t stop.

The San Jose Sharks appear to have traded Jake Walman to the Edmonton Oilers.

David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period was the first to report on the trade, which seems like it won’t be officially announced until tomorrow.

Frank Seravalli believes a first-round pick will be coming back to the Sharks.

Walman, 29, has had a breakout season with the San Jose Sharks. San Jose’s de facto No. 1 defenseman, Walman led the Sharks blueline with six goals and 26 assists. These 32 points were in just 50 games.

He’s also been a power play and penalty kill staple, leading San Jose with 23:11 ATOI a night.

The Sharks were actually gifted Walman in the off-season, taking him from the Detroit Red Wings, along with a 2024 second-round pick for future considerations.

Walman is signed for next year at just $3.4 million AAV. He becomes a UFA after the 2025-26 campaign.

Meanwhile, the Oilers don’t have a 2025 first-round pick, but they do have their 2026 and 2027 firsts.

It’s been a busy day for Grier, in the lead-up to the Mar. 7 Trade Deadline.

Yesterday, he sent Vitek Vanecek to the Florida Panthers for Patrick Giles. This morning, he traded Nico Sturm to the Panthers, along with a 2025 seventh-rounder, for a 2026 fourth. Luke Kunin is also being held out from Thursday night’s game against the Colorado Avalanche for trade reasons.

Does he have anything else up his sleeve by 12 PM PT tomorrow?
