Winning Play: 4 Key Areas Where Vlasic Has Declined | SJHN+
LAS VEGAS, Nev. — Marc-Edouard Vlasic suffered perhaps the greatest indignity of his much-decorated career two weeks ago.
Before a Mar. 1 tilt against the Colorado Avalanche, Bob Boughner moved Vlasic back from the bottom pairing to Erik Karlsson’s left side.
“Pickles has got to elevate his game. I had that talk with him this morning,” the San Jose Sharks head coach said then. “Sometimes, you gotta challenge players. I’m challenging him to step up.”
Vlasic-Karlsson lasted all of one period, a pairing perhaps finished off by this Samuel Girard goal:

“Vlasic fell off the face of the earth,” an NHL scout told San Jose Hockey Now.
