The San Jose Sharks have given Tomas Hertl something to think about.
Before the beginning of the season, the educated guess was that Hertl, an impending UFA with a stated desire to win, would want to do it somewhere else besides San Jose. The Sharks, after all, were two years out of the playoffs and weighed down by a number of long-term contracts given to underperforming players.
