“Sorry, Mario”: Meier Drives Tank Over Car That Looks Like Ferraro’s

Timo Meier has undoubtedly started his first NHL All-Star experience with a bang.
He began his trip to Vegas for the All-Star Weekend with a visit to Battlefield Vegas, where he drove a tank over a car. Yes, you read that correctly. Timo Meier drove a tank and crushed another vehicle with it.
“I’m going to be driving a tank and I’m going to be driving over a car that kind of looks like Mario Ferraro’s car.” 😂@MeierTimo made quite an entrance to kick-off #NHLAllStar Weekend! pic.twitter.com/Skmjb5o2Xc

While the video of Meier and Sharks’ Digital and Arena Host Emily Harlan was entertaining due to the destruction alone, the fun was not just in the mayhem.
“I’m going to be driving a tank and I’m going to be driving over a car that kind of looks like Mario Ferraro’s car,” quipped Meier shortly before the experience.
While in the midst of his demolition of the stationary vehicle, Meier expressed his concern for the car itself with a small “Oh, poor car” before proceeding to then back over it again. He also added, “Sorry, Mario.”
To the best of San Jose Hockey Now’s knowledge, Ferraro drives a Kia Forte EX. Ferraro has jokingly referenced his car as the best of all the Sharks players in a YouTube video from late 2020.
Meier left the experience unsure if he would want to do it again, but with one possibility of when he would be willing.
“Maybe If I’m mad at one of my teammates, drive over their car with this thing, but I don’t think so.”
While Ferraro has yet to respond to Meier’s dig at his car publicly, one is left to wonder if the two had some minor unresolved conflict after that final comment.
Perhaps Timo Meier just was tired of being referred to as Swedish instead of Swiss.
