Really appreciated the discussion towards the end regarding Erik Karlsson and the balance between eye-test/analytics. I’m fairly new to hockey, and most of my learning about the game has been based on reading blogs and listening to podcasts that are more analytics-friendly. Last night while watching I thought Karlsson played pretty well, then looked up his numbers on Moneypuck and NST and was surprised his numbers were found wanting.
