Smaht Scouting’s Josh Tessler Talks Matthew Beniers

Kyle, Erik, and JD start our deep dive into the top prospects of the 2021 NHL Draft. This might be relevant for the San Jose Sharks? We kick off with Michigan forward Matthew Beniers. We go over his statistical profile and then are joined by Josh Tessler of Smaht Scouting to discuss why Beniers should be in consideration for the first-overall pick (7:30). Josh discusses scouting him and the other Michigan players (13:00) and his NHL comp (18:00). Then Josh looks at how the San Jose Sharks like to build their rosters and if Beniers could be a fit (25:00), then he ends with comparing Beniers and fellow Michigan prospect Kent Johnson and how their games are completely different (30:00).
