Amidst a career year, Erik Karlsson trade rumors continue to swirl.

“We can confirm that teams have engaged with the San Jose Sharks about what a trade could look like,” TSN Insider Pierre LeBrun said Tuesday. “I still think it’s more likely this waits until the off-season, if at all.”

With a cap hit of 11.5 million for the next four years and a full no-move clause, the Swede will be hard to trade. During the November GM meetings, LeBrun noted that Sharks GM Mike Grier was listening on Karlsson.

In LeBrun’s report on Tuesday, he confirmed that teams are still calling the Sharks in January.
