At just 22 years of age, Yaroslav Askarov is a three-time AHL All-Star.

Just looking at the numbers, it’s obvious how he’s elevated the San Jose Barracuda. But Askarov’s impact goes beyond his gaudy 9-4-1 record and league-leading .938 Save %.

“He’s got swag, that’s for sure. When he’s in net, we have so much confidence,” fellow All-Star and Barracuda alternate captain Andrew Poturalski said. “The way he plays is a lot of fun to be behind. He’s always got our back and I think the swag that he has, it reflects on everybody else. It carries throughout the room.”
