Good news, San Jose Sharks fans!

There’s something to look forward to, post-Timo Meier, post-Trade Deadline.

According to JD Young, William Eklund, the San Jose Sharks’ seventh-overall pick in the 2021 Draft, will make his season debut tomorrow against the Washington Capitals:

San Jose Hockey Now confirmed that Eklund indeed will get called up.

Eklund made his NHL debut last year, notching four assists in nine games before getting returned to Sweden.

This season, the Swedish winger has 17 goals and 24 assists in 52 AHL games. One of the AHL’s top rookie scorers, he’s come on strong as of late, highlighted by a four-point performance against the Abbotsford Canucks on Feb. 20.
