Should Sharks Trade Up at Draft?

Published

on

Could the San Jose Sharks look to trade up in the NHL Draft? A look at assets that the Sharks have to move up, if Brent Burns, Kevin Labanc, or one of the prospects could be enough to move up and a team-by-team odds of the Sharks actually moving up. Is trading Timo Meier worth the second-overall pick from the New Jersey Devils (7:00)? Would the Columbus Blue Jackets like back-to-back picks (14:00)? And why does the San Jose Sharks jumping the Anaheim Ducks to take the Buffalo Sabres’ No. 9 pick make a ton of sense (22:00)?

Instead of moving around in the 1st round. I would rather make a move to get an extra pick as a late 1st or get into the 2nd round. There is not a lot of special players to move up for, so I would rather more lotto tickets.
