Will Kurtis Gabriel be on the move?

Per Elliotte Friedman, don’t be surprised if the San Jose Sharks deal Gabriel at the Trade Deadline.

“San Jose has been contacted by a few teams,” Friedman said tonight. “You could see him being an effective post-season player. I’ve heard there’s some interest out there. I wouldn’t be surprised if he moves.”

On Mar. 23, Friedman reported that Gabriel “probably gets a one-way contract next season.” If the impending UFA does receive that contract, it might not be from the San Jose Sharks.

The Trade Deadline is this Monday at 12 PM PT. The San Jose Sharks have already made one significant move, sending Devan Dubnyk to Colorado this morning:

We’ll see if Gabriel, Patrick Marleau, Matt Nieto, or Marcus Sorensen are next.

Sigh… I hope we don’t trade Gabriel. I’m sure we could get assets, but he’s also valuable for our future.

Get all those assets! Trade everybody not part of long term core!

Get something of value if possible. It is nice having an enforcer. We need more muscle. EK65 is so soft.

[…] The biggest news that he’s made in the last month, apart from his social activism, was being on the Trade Deadline block. […]
