Preview/Lines #59: Hertl Talks Theo’s Earlier-Than-Expected Birth

Aneta Hertl’s water broke at 5 AM on Monday, two weeks before expected.
But good news, Aneta and new-born Theo are doing well, Tomas Hertl reported today.
It was a frantic day though.
“She’s doing good. We had a C-section, so it’s a little harder,” Hertl said after missing Monday night’s 4-0 victory over the Seattle Kraken. The San Jose Sharks alternate captain will play tonight.
Theo is the Hertls’ second child, after Tobias in Oct. 2020.
So Tomas, Tobias, and Theo. Is there a theme going on?
“We liked [the name Theo] right away,” Hertl smiled. “[We] also [said] let’s do all the boys in the house starting with T.”
If the Hertls’ third is a girl, will it start with “A” for Aneta?
“We don’t even think about it too soon,” Hertl laughed, at the prospect of a third child right after No. 2. “I think [Aneta] already has a name but I don’t think it starts with an A.”
One thing that we know for sure, the Hertl household will be chaotic with two boys, a toddler and a newborn.
“It’s gonna be a busy house,” he grinned. “If he’s half like the first one, it’ll be a lot of sports around the house.”
Good thing that Aneta’s parents are on the way!
“We didn’t expect it, the baby [coming] two weeks earlier, so they’re coming on Sunday,” the relieved father reported.
