SJHN Daily: Sharks Have Smith, Reinbacher Ahead of Michkov?
Leo Carlsson might have just played himself out of the San Jose Sharks’ reach.
After a strong World Championships showing for Team Sweden, Carlsson may have secured his spot in the top-three of the 2023 Draft, along with presumptive first-overall pick Connor Bedard and Adam Fantilli.
The San Jose Sharks have the No. 4 pick.
“I could see [Will] Smith, David Reinbacher or Matvei Michkov as the pick here, in that order of likelihood,” Corey Pronman of The Athletic wrote in his most recent mock draft. He also picked a goaltender for the Sharks at No. 26.
