According to Scott Wheeler of The Athletic, the future is in fact teal.

Wheeler’s annual prospect pool rankings concluded earlier this week, and the San Jose Sharks jumped from fourth in last year’s rankings to the top spot this time around. The most impressive part? Wheeler’s rankings excluded two of the Sharks’ key youngsters, Macklin Celebrini and Shakir Mukhamadullin.

In order, Will Smith, Sam Dickinson, Yaroslav Askarov, Quentin Musty, and Luca Cagnoni head Wheeler’s top-15.

Wheeler noted the fact that the San Jose Sharks have a star prospect in every position, while also have built a deep prospect pool that will give them an abundance of players to choose from at the NHL level. With two selections in the first round of the 2025 NHL Draft as well, the Sharks’ farm system will only continue to get better this summer.
