San Jose Sharks
What Do You Think of This Sharks Reverse Retro Jersey Design?
Let’s take a day off from San Jose Sharks GM speculation – things have gone very quiet on that front.
Instead, let’s have some fun: What will the Sharks’ Reverse Retro jersey look like next year?
In 2020-21, the NHL debuted Reverse Retro jerseys. This series, brought to you by adidas, celebrated and re-mixed classic jerseys from every NHL city’s past.
The San Jose Sharks chose to hearken back to their 1998-99 kit:

So what are the Sharks thinking next year?
There hasn’t been much credible chatter on that front, but I wanted to share a fan design that I thought was terrific.
Boyan Demchuk of The Win Column recently mocked 2022-23 Reverse Retro jerseys for the Pacific Division. This is what he came up with for the San Jose Sharks:
“The Sharks have lately leaned into their original ‘90s branding, so I chose to take that cue and merge their original home and away jerseys with their modern-day Stealth jerseys to apply a new take on a vintage look,” Demchuk wrote.
Personally, I love Demchuk’s bold, neon sign re-mix of the original Sharks’ logo.
Another worthy idea: Could the San Jose Sharks finally make a long-awaited nod to their Bay Area forerunners, the California Seals?
We’ll talk more Reverse Retro after the Draft and free agency – and hopefully, San Jose will have a new GM by then!
