Reactions to Sharks Split-Squad Games

Kyle and JD react to the San Jose Sharks’ split-squad games against the Anaheim Ducks and Vegas Golden Knights. We start with the stats from the Ducks’ game and which players stood out and if Nick Bonino will be on the normal power play. Then we discuss the Vegas Golden Knights game and Jasper Weatherby’s night (8:00), Jonathan Dahlén (10:00), and why William Eklund should look for a place in San Jose (14:00). i’d definitely be on board keeping Eklund in NA, but you can’t throw him to the wolves in regular NHL games. as smart as he is, as elusive as he is, he still has things to work on and experience against lesser comp than the average NHL player. he needs to mature physically as well. and we need to get in on the lotto for Shane Wright (if missing out on Wright than at least Lambert, Savoie, or Slafkovsky), so this needs to be the intentional/unintentional tank season. move out Burns and Hertl by the TDL. Dahlen isn’t waiver-exempt — simple as that, I think. Not to say that Sharks are burying a much better player — more, all things equal in terms of on-ice performance, give first shot to the guy you’ll have to waive

Gannon looked a lot more seasoned than a walk on in the WHL. I saw him make some moves that made me look again.
The Sharks draftees in the last couple of years are exciting to me.
