In a San Jose Hockey Now exclusive, Chartier revealed how the “hockey player mentality” led him to try to play through three concussions during his time in the San Jose Sharks organization. He missed all of the 2018-19 season because of his last concussion.

“It felt like I just kept putting a Band-Aid on an issue,” Chartier said. “It wasn’t a Band-Aid fix.”
