SJHN Daily: DeBoer To Take Over in Dallas
Former San Jose Sharks head coach Peter DeBoer will soon be behind the Dallas Stars bench, per Elliotte Friedman.
While DeBoer’s deal with the Stars is yet to be finalized, it is expected to be signed and official very soon. It seems that part of the hold is that DeBoer is still owed money by the Vegas Golden Knights through next season and the two teams need to work out a payment agreement.
Bringing DeBoer to Dallas reunites the former Sharks bench boss with former Sharks captain Joe Pavelski.
In four seasons with the San Jose Sharks, Pavelski played 320 regular-season games with DeBoer as head coach, with another 53 in the playoffs.
Could this also be a prelude for franchise icon Brent Burns to go to Dallas? There’s been a lot of speculation about that this off-season:
