BREAKING: Couture, Reimer Model Sharks’ New Jerseys
The San Jose Sharks officially shared their new home and away jerseys tonight.
And like the first leaks suggested, the Sharks are indeed going all teal with their new home kits. That’s right, teal helmets, sweaters, pants, and gloves.
Here’s Logan Couture and James Reimer modeling the San Jose Sharks’ new home and away looks at the Sharks365 season ticket holders’ event tonight:

“I love them,” the San Jose Sharks captain said, though he acknowledged the all-teal took some getting used to.
It appears that this will be the first time that the Sharks have not used black pants in a jersey iteration, dating back to their expansion 1991-92 campaign. And they’ll be going teal pants with their road white sweaters too.
It will be a fresh look from the beginning of the season in Prague to the end of the year for the Sharks. San Jose will also be wearing a third jersey, a Reverse Retro, this year, reportedly inspired by the 1974-75 California Golden Seals.

Just guessing, but black pants wouldn’t fit this ensemble either.
A lot of San Jose Sharks fans have expressed consternation with the all-teal look, but personally, it’s a welcome change of pace for me. I think most fans will get used to it, and it makes sense for the Sharks to lean into teal, the color that they’re best known for.
The head-to-almost-toe uniform color look can work too, take for example, the classic Quebec Nordiques road jerseys. Anyway, I guess most important to everybody is how the Sharks play in their new uniforms instead of how they look.
