NHL Scouts Reveal Who They Think Sharks Will Pick in 1st Round

Who will the San Jose Sharks take at No. 11 in the 2022 NHL Draft?
I spoke with two NHL scouts from outside organizations to get a temperature check, post Draft-lottery, about a month and a half away from Jul. 7 and the first round in Montreal.
There are six prospects that these two scouts agreed would not be there for the Sharks at No. 11: Forwards Shane Wright, Logan Cooley, Juraj Slavkofsky, and Cutter Gauthier, and defensemen Simon Nemec and David Jiricek.
Beyond that, highly-ranked forwards Joakim Kemell and Matthew Savoie could drop, but probably not all the way to San Jose.
One scout selected 5-foot-10 center Frank Nazar from the USNTDP for the San Jose Sharks.
“I can’t see Savoie dropping past the top-10. Kemell either. I would take Kemell over Savoie,” the scout noted. “I think Lekkerimaki, Nazar, and [Conor] Geekie will be there at No. 11. If you’re going forward, Nazar.”
This is the first instance I’ve seen Kasper mocked to us, mostly he’s been rated in the mid to late teens.
The Sharks picking Nazar would make me very happy, though.
Kasper is rising — see Pronman’s latest mock draft. Corey’s mock is a strong one, he talks to a lot of scouts. My scout corroborated Kasper’s rise.
Interesting. And is it also true that Lambert is falling?
Appears so! I have a piece coming soon where the scouts dissect Lambert a bit. The combine might be important for him, the impression he makes on GMs
not sure whom i like better in that kind of mid round position, Mesar or Kasper. they’re both kind of the same player, although Kasper is the bigger player and seemingly fits more of that power F role. both are well rounded players and project top 6 if all goes well. i actually currently have Mesar at #11 on my board, but i’m like Kasper more and more. i think he’s probably the safest pick outside the top 10 and would definitely take him over a player like Geekie. neither of these guys is a “passenger”.
