The San Jose Sharks and Lean Bergmann have agreed to a mutual termination of Bergmann’s contract. It’s not a buyout — Bergmann’s contract will simply leave the books:

I’m not entirely sure what the NHL can do here, but maybe they can pull the 2022 NHL Draft from Montreal to start.

Multiple NHL teams had indicated they might pick Logan Mailloux in the 2nd round of the 2021 Draft despite his renouncing himself from being selected, source tells ESPN.

Given that @CanadiensMTL didn't pick again to No. 63, imagine that's why they took him at No. 31.
