Sharks Recall Cagnoni

The San Jose Sharks have recalled Luca Cagnoni.
The left-handed defenseman, 20, is poised to make his NHL debut on Thursday against the Carolina Hurricanes.
The 2023 San Jose Sharks’ fourth-round pick has excelled in his first pro season.
Cagnoni is second among all AHL defensemen with 47 points, tied for second with 13 goals, and is third with 34 assists. He’s also second among all San Jose Barracuda skaters in points, behind AHL leader Andrew Poturalski. Cagnoni also paces AHL rookie blueliners in points and tied with the goals lead.
Cagnoni was also an elite producer in juniors, topping WHL defensemen with 72 assists and 90 points last year. He was the first WHL rearguard to reach 90 points since 1993-94, and was also named to the CHL Third All-Star Team, which encompasses the WHL, OHL, and QMJHL.
Cagnoni was paired with right-handed veteran Vincent Desharnais in practice on Tuesday.

It’s the tallest Shark, Desharnais is 6-foot-7, with the shortest Shark, Cagnoni is 5-foot-9.
Cagnoni should be on the top power play unit too:
