The San Jose Sharks also sent a 2024 fourth-rounder to Arizona for center Lane Pederson.

They moved quickly to sign the 23-year-old RFA:

Pederson may end up as a Sharks sleeper:

Doug Wilson concurred: “He’s a player that we’ve liked for a while. We got to see him a lot playing down in Tucson. They brought him up later in the year. He’s a right-shot centerman, he can skate. He’s got size to him. He’s a guy that our amateur guys have followed since juniors.

“This is a guy that has the skill-set, we think, to be able to come in and compete for a spot on this team.

“We just looked at this as an opportunity to add another really good player with a real good upside.”
