SJHN Daily: Story Behind Askarov’s New Mask, Kunin Hosts Party for Important Cause

Luke Kunin invited the families of kids with Type 1 Diabetes to join him on the San Jose Sharks’ practice rink on Sunday.
Kunin plays through Type 1 Diabetes.
“It’s good for them to have someone to look up to, let them know they can do whatever they want, shouldn’t hold them back,” Kunin said of the importance of his foundation and the event. “I had that at a young age, and I think it helped me get here. So I just want to be that person for them, help them in any way that I can.”
